The GTA West Chapter of CDECA 'Does Yoga'

As anybody who follows my blog knows, I am constantly updating you on the happenings of the GTA West Chapter of CDECA of which I am a member. We have great times and started 2012 off with a bang. Our January meeting was held at The Decorating Centre in Burlington, www.thedecoratingcentre.ca, which is a great supporter of all designers & decorators as well as a great affiliate of CDECA. We had an evening of Yoga, lead by our own Christina Mogk an established Yoga Instructor when she is not designing. In between our Yoga sessions, we had a discussion on our positive experiences of 2011 and what we learned from them.  This was led by Lin Munro, co-owner of TDC. What a wonderful, enlightening and energizing evening. We all went home and slept like babies.....
Here we are busy at work drawing our positive experiences

The 2012 Pantone Colour of the Year - Pantone 17-1463 Tangerine Tango

It's that time again colour lovers.  The time when the illustrious global colour expert, Pantone, sets their Colour of the Year announcement for the upcoming year.  And the winner for 2012 is...Tangerine Tango.  ' Sounds Yummy' 'Looks Yummy'
This colour, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.
“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”   This luscious reddish orange adds sensuality to fashion, flair to accessories, verve to cosmetics, and lively luxury to interior surfaces and appointments.  Here are some great photos of where this fab colour will be seen in the coming year....
